Windsurfing Kerry Ad Anything but "Hang Ten"

Democrats Angered by Bush Campaign's Newest "Juvenile" Attack Ad

- The Bush campaign released its latest attack ad yesterday, one which has many critics labeling it with one word, "juvenile." The ad in question features John Kerry, a profound outdoors enthusiast, windsurfing while a narrator mocks him in the background. The Bush ad states, *"In which direction would John Kerry lead? Kerry voted for the Iraq war, opposed it, supported it, and now opposes it again. He bragged about voting for the $87 billion to support our troops before he voted against it. He voted for education reform and now opposes it. He claims he’s against increasing Medicare premiums but voted five times to do so."* The Kerry campaign later dismissed this newest attack ad, almost immeadiately unveiling a new response ad. This new response ad highlights Bush's dismal failures in Iraq, including the recent beheadings of two Americans, the latest death toll, and the Pentagon's admission that terrorists are freely coming into Iraq. To conclude, the ad then sums it off with the final condemnation: *"In the face of the Iraq quagmire, George Bush’s answer is to run a juvenile and tasteless attack ad."* So far, the Bush campaign's windsurfing attack ad has not been instructed to run on TV, though the democratic campaign is almost certain that it will.
