Oprah WInfrey, who gave out 276 cars to her audience members, may also be giving out 276 headaches. The Pontiac G-Six cars that were given to the audience members, may make them wonder if they should pay up to $7000 for their "free" car, or have no car at all. Pontiac has paid for most of the state sales tax and licensing fees. Since the cars were prizes, and valued as income to each audience member, they have to pay a tax on the cars, in accordance to their tax brackets. So take this as a lesson in life, if you think things in life are for free, you're wrong.
