Few Britons Opt For Low Carb Diets - Report

Low carb. diets seem to be the infatuation in the UK. The hard truth is only 13 percent of people have tried them and less than 3 percent are on them. In a recent survey out of 1,000 people, the majority would rather exercise and cut back on high fat foods and sweets than follow the path of a diet. With all the diets that are out there, Atkins is the most popular diet that people have tried. Many who are on the diet want the rapid weight loss, but few stick with it for a long period of time. Some say that the diet hasn't worked for them, but consumer analyst James McCoy says that anyone who goes on the Atkins diet must faithfully follow it and not cheat. Another recent study has proven that low carb. diets show more weight loss in 6 months than do low fat and calorie diets. In the long span of time though, neither diet shows more weight loss than the other. So, If you're planning to diet, know that a little exercise and giving up sweets is the easiest option and is the most popular choice.
