Unaired Iraq Story Shows Eyes on CBS
The report on the US rationality for war in Iraq is back in the news, because the media is recognizing how much of a control the White House and conservatism has on CBS. Salon.com had summarized Ed Bradley's report on Iraq, before CBS decided to postpone the report, due to it "being to close to the election." Bradley's report consisted of supposed forged documents that were used to show Iraq had bought uranium from Niger. The reason why CBS does not want to air it so close to the election, is they are afraid of being labeled as a news corporation that was being swayed by politics. CBS can't air a show that will make them look swayed by politics, but politics can sway what CBS will air. Makes sense, right? Sure it does.
