High court hears arguments on education lawsuit

The Massachusetts Supreme Court will allow lawyers for students in poor school districts fifteen minutes to plead their case on Monday. They are fighting for better funding so that all students receive equal education. 11 years ago, a similar case went through the courts, which ruled in favor of the plantiffs. The outcome of the ruling was an education reform law that increased funding for all public schools. The plantiffs, however, feel that still more needs to be done. As the founder of public education in the United States, the plantiffs feel that the state of Massachusetts should set an example by giving all children a good education.
