North Korea Lays Down Nukes

Talks between the U.S., China, Russia, Japan, South and North Korea have produced unexpected results. After closing their doors to nuclear inspectors, in December of 2002, Pyongyang has reopened them and is putting an end to North Koreas' nuclear program. Previous discussions yielded no movement from North Korea on maintaining a civil nuclear program, but with energy concessions from the other five countries Pyongyang has relinquished, momentarily, this field. More talks are scheduled for November, but for now it seems as though headway is being achieved.
