The neverending question of Favre's retirement

Yet again the media is talking about Brett Favre and his retirement. Many different sports figures, such as Shannon Sharpe and Dan Marino, are making comments that Brett shouldn't have even started talking about retirement until he would actually be doing it. With Hurricane Katrina hitting his childhood home, Brett has had other things on his mind than football. As he says, he's just going one week at a time.

I somewhat share the opinion of Sharpe. Favre should not have started talking about retirement in 2002 when it's 2005 and nothing's happened besides more talk. I love Brett and I want him to keep playing, but not if he's killing the image that he once had with mediocre play.
