Digital Mammography Proves Superior for Younger Women

A rather new technology, digital mammography has shown to be more accurate in detecting premenopausal breast cancer in women under the age of fifty. This advancement has been proven to benefit younger women as well as women with heterogeneously dense or extremely dense breast. The article points out the advantages and study results of the digital mammography, while still maintaining full support of the older form of mammography technology known as film mammography.
