Israel Police Escape Riot Charges
In 2000, during the early days of the second intifada in Israel, a police squad open fired on a group of pro-palestinian demonstrators. A justice report said that there was not enough evidence to incriminate, or identify the police officers who fired on the crowd. The officers said they tried to hit the legs of the demonstrators, but a few must have went astray, by leaving 13 people dead. Relatives of the diseased are saying the ruling was "unfair," and will try to fight the ruling.
