Badgers shame Purdue and keep Rose Bowl dreams alive

In front of a crowd that numbered 65,196 screaming Boilermakers, the Wisconsin Badgers pulled off a surprising win over Purdue this past Saturday. The 6-0 Badgers came into West Lafayette expecting a tough battle, and that is exactly what they got. Despite the first score of the game, the Badgers lost steam when end Erasmus James was lost due to injury. Taking advantage of his absence, Purdue went on a 17 point scoring drive to lead the game 17-14 with 8 minutes remaining in regulation. The turning point occurred with only 2:49 left in the game when Purdue's Orton lost the ball and the Badger's Stark picked it up for the score. The Boilermakers had one last chance to tie the score with a field goal, but with no avail. With these unexpected results, and a couple more wins, Wisconsin fans have something new to look forward to...the Rose Bowl.
