Middle East Car Savy

GM is finding that the Middle East is now a hot spot for auto sales. In the past their trucks and sport utility vehicles have always done well, but now cars such as the Chevy Aveo and Optra are becoming popular. Now that more than half the demographic is said to be under 25, GM feels it is a good time to expand production and open new dealerships. Ten Middle Eastern countries, "including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates," will be included in the expansion. Iraq is not at this time a prospect for GM, but they hope that it will once again become one in the near future.
