The Internet Can Do Anything
A man by th name of John Underwood has connected a gun and camera located on his Texas ranch to the Internet, allowing anyone to log on and shoot the rifle. This is just another step in the evolution of the internet, as webcams are already widely used privately and publicly alike. This shooting range just takes the technology a step further to the disdain of some, such as Mike Berger, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department wildlife director who wants to create a new statute banning this sort of remote hunting. This could be a major gateway issue, as this sort of device is not widely popular outside the military, but definitely has the potential to do so.
