Dangers of the Abortion Pill
In 2000, the pill, RU-486 or Mifeprex, was introduced into the market that would abort an unborn fetus by simply taking a pill. This pill is made to work in pregnancies of seven weeks or less. Many complications have been reported from this pill. Three women have died so far due to a bacterial infection and excessive bleeding caused by this pill. Warnings are being put out that if any excessive bleeding or extreme cramping occurs when taking this pill, the woman should see a doctor immediately. Some people are trying to get this pill off of the market until a less dangerous pill is made.
