Technology and Storage Management
Storing information is definitely an extrememly important factor for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center located in Seattle. They have more than twelve million files that have to be stored and able to be quickly found. Since 1993, the storage size per employee has dramatically increased. However, problems still exist with the extent to how much information has to be stored and how easy it must be accessed. Recently, a trend has risen to use storage networks which allows the sharing of data. A storage management system that is centralized provides many benefits for companies.
