Cancer-Free 'Designer Babies' Approved

In London today, four couples with an inherited form of bowel cancer were given the right to clinically screen their IFV embryos and decide which to be implanted. This ruling by the Human Fertilization and Embryology Authority is highly controversial because it allows for a precedent picking of embryos with a wider range of traits than at present. Nevertheless parents are overjoyed because the ruling allows them to make sure their children, and the children of their children, won't have the aggressive colon cancer.
