The Future of Mobile Technology

Mobile phones could soon double up as buss tickets, as Nokia wants to introduce a wireless ticket service on German busses. In the city of Hanau the Swedish cellular giant Nokia is planning to introduce a modification of their 3220 handset that could be used on smart-card readers already installed on the busses. The trial will begin early in 2005 and people will also be able to access transport information through their cell phones.
