Spammer Caught

A man running a simple spamming operation out of his Virginia house was put on trial, which gave numerous insights into Internet spamming techniques. His crime was not sending out spam, but purchasing stolen lists with millions of e-mail addresses. Because the purpose of much of his spam was to cheat people out of their money, and he was sending 10 million spam e-mails a day, he made between $400,000 & $700,000 a month. This shows that any person with the drive and determination to cheat people and cause massive frustration can do so with relatively little effort, all by himself.
