One Tropical Storm Away from Record Setting Season
As the six month hurricane season nears its end (Nov. 30), tropical storm Wilma ties the record for the most storms in an Atlantic season. The record of 21 Tropical storms was set in 1933. Forcasters at the National Hurricane Center say this is just a period of high activity that is part of a natural cycle that lasts for 20 to 50 years.
