Increasing energy costs

Article: Firms forced to adapt as energy costs climb.
This article centers around the difficulties of owning buildings and businesses that require a large amount of energy at the the same time that costs of energy is rising.
This is of a concern for us college students because for those of us renting, and commuting, these additional costs for gas/electric/heating, will be passed on to us. So much for even trying to stay warm this winter...
