Plummer won't challenge rule honoring Tillman
Jake Plummer has been wearing the number 40 decal on the back of his helmet since training camp started. This is the number that former Arizona safety Pat Tillman wore when playing in the NFL. Tillman left the NFL to join the U.S. Army Rangers and was killed in combat this past April. The NFL has done a couple of things to honor and remember Pat Tillman, however, Jake Plummer got to be very good friends with Tillman when Plummer played at Arizona. Now the NFL is only allowing Tillman's former team, the Cardinals, to wear the 40 decal on their helmets. If Plummer wore the decal he would be going against the NFL's uniform codes, but he says he is not going to do that. Plummer says that he is, "...looking for some kind of compromise" in order to continue to honor his friend.
