The Effects of Terrorism

In the article found here: http://www.omegaletter.com/articles.asp?ArticleID=5759, a description of the effects of terrorism in Israel is provided. It describes the effects of Israel's releasing of land to the Palestinians, and what it says isn't pretty. Apparently, a common occurence after Israel gives land back to the Palestinians, such as Jericho, what was once a lush, green, tourist-filled area becomes riddled with arms, litter, and terrorists instead of tourists. This has already happened after the recent evacuation of Jews from the Gaza Strip; a direct passage is now open from Egypt to Gaza, and weapons are being brought through openly. All of this is in the name of peace and stopping the terrorists, but the article claims that what Israel does in the name of peace is actually destroying it, creating more destruction, and furthering acts of terrorism.

Obviously, this article is biased toward keeping Israel in the hands of the Jews, and is thus not very credible. However, it does make an interesting point. Are Israel's actions actually promoting an effect opposite to that desired? Is Israel doing the right thing and bringing peace to the middle east, or is it actually creating more terrorism?
