Janey Makes Brisk Work Of Schools

Washington D.C.'s new Superintendent Clifford Janey jumped right into his new job by examining learning standards in that area. These standards, that describe what students in each level should know, were only present in math and reading. Janey plans to set new, more intense standards. He is currently digging into the problems his predecessors had and thinking of new solutions. He started by asking principals to come up with assessments for their schools.
